Peace and tranquillity in a natural
forest setting where the Southern
Alps provide a dramatic backdrop and
the Tasman Sea, a moody western
expanse. Paramata Lodge is an arts
and craft style luxury accommodation
with three guest bedrooms, spacious
lounges and library, all with views.
Your personal hosts provide guided wilderness tours into the
surrounding forest and coastal wetland environments offering
interesting historic perspective while exploring nature’s dynamic
interplays. Wildlife encounters may suggest that things haven’t changed
for centuries! Tours (with a conservation permit) are conducted either
walking or by boat, and miles of remote sandy beach can be explored
at your leisure. All meals are created from home grown produce using
Central European influences and fresh Pacific flavours. Paramata
Lodge is centrally located for exploring the region’s main attractions. 30mins drive to Hokitika, 1.10
hour to Franz Josef Glacier. There are 3 fishing rivers within 5km from the lodge.
